STOVE PROBLEMS

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

When your stove or oven will not heat up, call us right away. You have a broken bake element or an oven sensor that is not working if the stove won’t heat up. A burner won’t heat up if there is a broken element, bad burner switch, or a broken terminal block. We will repair these common problems an hour or two the same day that you call for help.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

If program settings or timer do not work on your stove the problem is almost always a bad control board. This has to be replaced. We carry boards for LG, Sear, GE, and all major brands. All boards and our labor have a 12-month warranty.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

A dangerous problem where you need to call for help is when the oven is too hot. This is caused by a malfunctioning sensor or thermostat. Do not try to fix this on your own. Call us for same day service. We will check out the problem and fix it on a short service call.

OVEN PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

When your electric stove won’t turn on, check that it is plugged in and the circuit breakers are not tripped. Check the pilot light if your gas stove or oven will not ignite. Common problems, in this case, are a defective infinite switch, broken surface element, malfunctioning oven burner igniter or a bad bake and broil element.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

When the stove igniter glows but does not light there is a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter, or temperature sensor. We can check this out and fix it or replace the part on the spot. Call us for same-day repairs.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

A problem that is unique to some of the new self-cleaning ovens is that sometimes the door will not open when the cleaning cycle is done. Call us for help and our repairman will check out the door latch, seal and thermostat to find out why the door will not open. Then he will make the necessary repairs on a short service call.
